Based on recent information on the internet it is safe to say that Mercedes-Benz is testing out a new edition for its EQ family of battery-electric vehicles.
The new edition appears to be a midsize crossover SUV that sits above the current EQC and alongside a mid-sized sedan.
Prototypes for the EQE sedan and a larger EQS sedan have already been spotted. In fact, the EQS is due for a reveal later this year, and should hit the market as a 2021 model. Whereas, the EQC is also due next year.
Based on the rumors on the web it can be said that the mid-sized EQ SUV will feature similar styling to the EQE and EQS sedans, and the variant is likely to resemble a minivan as opposed to a traditional SUV as well. The variant will operate on the Mercedes MEA2 dedicated EV platform which will make its debut in the EQS. The vehicle can support up to 400 miles.
Despite the fact that Mercedes lovers can’t wait to get behind the wheel, the current model is in its development phases as Mercedes plans to have at least 10 EVs in their lineup by the end of 2022.
