Mercedes Benz has recently added a new entry level model to its GT-4-Door Coupe range, and it’s all set to arrive in late 2020. It consists of 3.0 liter turbocharged inline-6, and an electric motor-generator that comes with a mild hybrid configuration. The model, featuring an inline-56, gives a total horsepower of 362 and a total of 369 lb-ft torque.
But that’s not all, the engine also features an electric compressor. This allows the turbocharger to provide a boost in the early stage of the rev range, and lead to a decrease in turbo lag. According to AMG, drivers can expect to go from 0 to 60 in just 4.8 seconds but the top speed of the car is something that remains under the covers for now. AMG has added sports tuned suspension with adjustable dampers. The braking system is jam packed with power, and comes alongside 6-piston calipers in the front.
For the interior of the car, the dash design is similar to other high-end Mercedes models. The models also feature a unique center console which shares a similar design to that of an engine cover. The rear has two seats separated by an extended center console which can be used for storage and provides vehicle control options as well. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-43 is set to arrive in late 2020 at a price of $90,950.
